Aliza joined the Next Street team in November 2014 as an Analyst specializing in economic development and project management. In her current role, Aliza supports advisory projects in providing strategic and financial guidance to a range of clients, including small enterprise, government, higher education, and corporate entities. Each initiative brings an integrated approach that bridges the market ecosystem, expanding opportunities for small, local enterprise while helping large anchors to positively impact the surrounding community.
Before joining Next Street, Aliza was an AmeriCorps Fellow with LIFT, a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a new standard for holistic and enduring solutions in the United States’ fight against poverty. As the Volunteer Coordinator in LIFT’s office in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood, Aliza created and implemented volunteer supervision and training strategies, and established community relations and partnerships with organizations and universities throughout Greater Boston. Originally from Nashville, Tenn, Aliza is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and holds a dual bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
