Kara Hayward is a Managing Associate in the New York office, where she leads teams to provide strategic, financial, and operational advice to for-profit, nonprofit, and city clients. Since joining in 2015, Kara has helped clients evaluate and pursue new market opportunities, scale their social impact, grow new revenue streams, and drive innovation at the local level.
Prior to joining Next Street, Kara worked at as a Brand Manager at JDS Therapeutics, a nutrition startup, where her work spanned business strategy, product development, project management, and customer experience. Kara helped the company build the infrastructure to support a direct-to-consumer model and lead the launch of its first consumer product profitably. Kara began her career at Deloitte Consulting, where she worked as a Consultant in the firm’s Strategy & Operations practice. There, she developed extensive industry experience in banking, media, and manufacturing. Kara also served as the lead for the Deloitte Consulting New York office’s Arts & Culture program. Kara graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, with focus on Development Economics & Public Policy.
