Kristen joined Next Street’s Boston office as a Senior Analyst in July 2016 before being promoted to Associate. She brings her city planning background and operational and analytical experience to a variety of client engagements, including anchor institutions, local economic development groups, and government agencies. Kristen is passionate about fostering economic development and creating the infrastructure for a healthy small business ecosystem to create great places to live and work in cities.
Prior to joining Next Street, Kristen worked at Recology, a San Francisco-based resource recovery and recycling company, for the previous four years. She held several sustainability, analytical, and strategy roles at Recology, helping pilot and develop new recycling programs as well as supporting operational and financial analyses. Kristen received her B.S. in Urban Studies and Planning and Political Science as well as her Masters in City Planning from MIT.
