Talent Management Associate
|
Next Street Financial is expanding its Talent Management practice and is looking for a high- performing, motivated, experienced candidate from a top tier management consultancy with a strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment. He/she will work closely with the Managing Associate and other members of the organization and will be responsible for leading client engagements, identifying talent issues, forming hypothesis for these issues and conducting analyses to synthesize conclusions into recommendations while working closely with portfolio companies to drive the implementation of recommendations. The Associate will be asked to utilize strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to support client work, complete organizational and individual assessments, develop recommendations and support implementation.
Qualified candidates must possess two to four years of professional experience in the following: Talent Management; Change Management; Succession Planning; Instructional Design; and Organizational Development. He/she will be asked to adopt/adapt organizational development tools and techniques used with large companies for use in the Next Street Financial target market. The position requires a robust analytical background, a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in client scoping conversations; play a key role in proposing compelling solutions for clients and writing proposals for client prospects
- Gather information and participate in fact-finding for client projects
- Lead qualitative and/or quantitative assessment and diagnosis of client needs and current state
- Apply experience and technical/functional expertise in designing and implementing client solutions
- Contribute to content development through research and project work
- Take a project leadership role under the supervision of the Managing Associate in smaller-scale client engagements, or key components of complex large-scale client projects
- Actively build trusted advisor relationship with clients
- Build business with existing clients by identifying current issues and future needs and pursuing new or expanded work with them
- Participate in other business development efforts with new clients and prospects
- Analyze data and formulate the current- and future-state scenarios affecting business success
- Apply best practice information to support a business case for implementing high-yield opportunities for improvement
- Draft comprehensive talent and organizational development plans, programs, and feedback tools, including communications strategies to support talent management initiatives and leadership development
- Structure client approach, and presentation of information
- Listen and evaluate client problems broadly before recommending solutions
- Tailor project solutions and approach to meet changing client needs
- Manage client work: timeline, project steps, client interactions, budget and us of resources
- Adapt project scope to meet client needs and to ensure project profitability
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience leading project teams on relevant organizational/ talent effectiveness engagements; or 2-4 years of related experience in industry or consulting; some expertise in traditional HR consulting areas a plus
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise in one of these domains, and broad capabilities in one or more domains: Compensation, Organization Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Workforce Planning, and Succession Planning
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (i.e., presentations, drafting reports, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Proven management skills in leading large, complex projects
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance
- Ability to work independently as well as in groups
- “Roll-up the sleeves” attitude and experience
Required Education (including degree):
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- Masters degree or MBA, a plus
