POSITION SUMMARY:
Next Street is seeking a high-performing, experienced candidate from a top-tier management consulting firm.It is conceivable that the candidate may also come from the strategy or consultancy group within a large accounting or related financial services institution.He/she will work closely with other members of the organization and will be responsible for leading client engagements, identifying business issues, forming hypothesis for these issues and conducting analyses to synthesize conclusions into recommendations while working closely with portfolio companies to drive the implementation of recommendations. The Associate will be asked to utilize strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to support client work, complete financial and strategic assessments, develop recommendations and support implementation.
He/she will be asked to adopt/adapt the strategic and financial tools and techniques used with large companies for use in the Next Street target market. The position requires a robust financial and analytical background, a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently.Client teams are leanly staffed, giving Associates the opportunity to play a key role in advising and implementing recommendations, take on added responsibility and interact with senior management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer experienced candidates from a top-tier management consulting firm (with 2 to 5 years of experience)
Must be a self-starter and motivated individual with a strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
Must have a passion for working in our target market
Creativity and a mindset that seeks to redefine the rules of the game
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Capability to adhere to stringent timetables and capacity to manage multiple clients
Strong academic background
Desire and commitment to grow with the firm
Operational experience a plus
Pre or Post-MBA candidates will be considered to fill various associate roles
Currently hiring for the Boston office
