Loan Administrator

Next Street Financial LLC seeks a loan administrator with 2-3 years of relevant experience, well-versed in all aspects of loan administration. The candidate should bring an attention to detail and an ability to organize and prioritize assignments as well as manage and perform multiple tasks. We also seek a candidate who is committed to bringing strong customer service skills and a positive attitude to an environment that relies heavily of teamwork and cooperation.

Job Description

  • Efficiently and accurately prepare all paperwork necessary to book/fund and maintain: term loans, lines of credit, mezzanine debt, private equity investments and commercial real estate mortgages
  • Coordinate preparation of loan closing packages, including issuance of funds, closing instructions, etc.
  • Order and evaluate loan documentation
  • Organize loan closings. This includes working with lending officers, customers, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, title company personnel and various other specialists/vendors, in order to close every type of loan in a timely manner
  • Maintain data integrity on commercial loan system of record including: posting of transactions to customer accounts; performing maintenance to customer accounts; performing research and correcting problems; preparing and processing general ledger entries; monitoring ticklers and taking appropriate action; inputting and balancing batch work to the loan system; and providing specialized processing support
  • Continually maintain commercial loans (e.g., modifications, extensions, letters of credit, updated financial information, release deeds, etc.)
  • Prioritize incoming requests (process line of credit advances, pay downs, P+I payments and wire transfers)
  • Gain knowledge on several systems used to perform daily tasks
  • Train and mentor other loan administrators
  • Create and maintain credit files, prepare correspondence, copy and file documents
  • Assist in basic administrative duties or special projects

Qualifications

Candidate must be able to maintain communication with – and provide excellent service to – both internal and external customers, and provide a positive experience while acting as a point of contact for the Loan Administration department. Must be able to work closely with fulfillment and third-party vendors such as settlement agents, attorneys and title companies to find solutions around closing issues while remaining customer focused. Further, the loan administrator will be responsible for the accuracy of all closing documents, closing system data and funding in a manner that meets all regulations.
