Managing Associate - Advisory Services

Next Street Financial LLC is seeking an outstanding management consultant to join its existing team of advisory and financial services professionals in providing Wall Street-quality management advice to a growing portfolio of small business clients.

The professional will be a key leader and manager at the firm. He/she will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of advisory projects with small business clients in the Greater New York market. He/she will work closely with the partners and over time will have direct responsibility for managing a team of experienced associates from top-tier management consulting and investment banking firms. In addition, the professional will work closely with a team of financing professionals that have deep domain expertise in commercial banking and small business lending on specific deal due diligence and structuring. Together with other professionals at the firm, the candidate will evaluate and make recommendations to the partners regarding opportunities to put the firm's capital to work in various urban and inner city investments.

The position requires deep domain expertise in management consulting, project management, and the delivery of advisory services. It requires demonstrated leadership capacity, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, outstanding work ethic, a willingness to take risks and a mindset that seeks to redefine the rules of the game.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in professional services industry including a minimum of 3 years at management consulting firm
  • Outstanding project and client management skills with capability to adhere to stringent timetables and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and ability to manage and develop a team of high-potential professionals
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Creativity and a mindset that seeks to redefine the rules of the game
  • Strategic thinker with strong quantitative background and practical approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to roll up sleeves when necessary to problem solve
  • Strong academic background
  • Desire and commitment to grow with the firm and refine the business model with growth
  • Pre- or post-MBA candidates will be considered
