On March 13, Marina Linhart will be stepping down as CEO of Next Street. We thank Marina for her outstanding leadership of Next Street over these past two years. Marina has played an important role in diversifying the business while keeping the focus on revolutionizing how our clients provide capital, customers, and services to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The firm will continue to benefit from the strategy that Marina set forth, with the three current partners, Charisse Conanan Johnson, Michael Roth, and Samantha (Sam) Berg becoming Managing Partners and assuming the leadership and governance of Next Street. Next Street will move to a Partner-led structure and will split the role of the CEO. Marina’s clients will transition to a respective senior leader within the firm.
Going forward, Charisse will be the partner on point for the Advisory business, Michael for the Capital business, and Sam for the Programs business. All three have deep experience rooted in small business, an unwavering commitment to the mission and vision of the firm, and a proven track record of partnering with public and private institutions to deliver solutions for small businesses to help them grow.
“I am excited for what the future holds for Next Street,” said Marina Linhart, outgoing CEO. “Charisse, Michael, and Sam have been valued partners to me personally as well as strong leaders of the firm well before they ever had the titles of Managing Partner. We built this strategy together and I know they will successfully carry it forward.”
“We are grateful for Marina’s commitment to small businesses and for her pivotal role in transforming the company,” said Tim Ferguson, Founder and Chairman of Next Street. “With the new Partner-led structure in place, we will now benefit from the leadership of three extraordinary people who are committed to continuing the legacy of Next Street as the preeminent advisory firm to drive growth for small businesses to create a more inclusive US economy.”
“We’d like to thank Marina for all her support throughout her tenure at Next Street and during this transition,” echoed the new Managing Partners. “We are inspired by Next Street’s people and clients. We are emboldened by the mission and vision of the firm. And we are committed to continuing the success of the firm with such an incredibly talented team.”
