Donald Jones is a Director in the New York Office. He leads the firm’s Capacity Building and Brick and Mortar practice community. In this role, Donald is responsible for developing the portfolio of content and solutions the firm provides to large public and private institutions looking to create opportunities for urban and diverse-owned small businesses. Additionally, Donald leads a diverse portfolio of client engagements, providing strategic, financial, and operational guidance through critical organizational decisions.
Prior to joining Next Street, Donald was the Executive Director at the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS), where he led the city’s small business development program. Prior to working at the SBS, Donald worked for the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), where he advised Fortune 500 companies on how to create career development programs for their employees. Donald holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Duke University.
