Sylvia is a Senior Manager of Curriculum Development with Next Street’s Delivery practice who began with Next Street as a freelance designer. She began her Learning and Development career as a corporate trainer for Estee Lauder/MAC for six years until a layoff prompted her to explore training design. After going back to school to take courses in graphic and learning experience design, she became an instructional designer for the Arizona Department of Transportation. Most recently, Sylvia was an instructional designer for global IT solutions company Insight, creating sales enablement content for executives who served organizations from small business through large enterprise.
On working at Next Street
My passion is creating UX-centered training that solves problems and truly serves the intended audience. I love that Next Street is all about opening doors and creating the art of the possible for individuals and businesses who deserve to thrive and be heard, and I’m so excited to help Next Street further develop its reputation for creating innovative training that empowers.
Outside of Next Street
When she’s not at work, Sylvia likes to tinker with graphic design and loves helping friends design content or websites that celebrate who they are. She loves live music, especially seeing bands in smaller venues. While she loves to travel, she really appreciate time at home with her “boys” – her husband, dog, cat, and bird.
