Next Street spent the month of May “On Tour” for National Small Business Month. Over the last several weeks, NXSTers traveled coast-to-coast to work together with clients, launch new products, speak on stage at events, and meet with small business owners. Check out some of the highlights below:
- Senior Director Ose Idigbe went to LA to attend the Milken Institute Global Conference and speak on a panel on “Creating New Pathways to Capital,” where he discussed new initiatives to fortify community investment infrastructure
- NXSTers from Chicago attended the JPMorgan Chase Small Business Research Symposium, highlighting the need to invest in emerging employer businesses with actionable, coordinated, and innovative programming
- NXST sent several advisors onsite to the annual NYC SBS Small Business Expo to sign attendees up for free business advising through our NYC Funds Finder platform
- In Queens and Lower Manhattan, NXSTers gathered for the NYC Department of Small Business Services’ Bid Day to celebrate the important work done by Business Improvement Districts across the City
- Our Business Solutions Center team attended the SBA’s B2B and Small Business Resource Forum to promote some of our small business programs
- Chief Revenue Officer Andi Crawford moderated a panel on Strengthening Supply Chains at United for Infrastructure’s Infrastructure Week Event
- We led the launch of the Get in the Game LA Supplier Resource Hub, an all-in-one platform designed to help local LA suppliers expand their contract readiness and tap into upcoming procurement opportunities coming to the Los Angeles region alongside our partners at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation, and LISC LA
- We attended a Michigan Policy Leaders Happy Hour sponsored by the MSU Research Foundation with our clients at the State of Michigan
- We heard President Preckwinkle keynote the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago’s annual Capacity Building for Capacity Builders event where she shared more about future plans for innovative access to capital
- We announced the upcoming launch of the MI Hub for Manufacturers at the Mackinac Policy Conference
- We attended the NYC Small Business Expo to offer guidance, resources, and insights on several of the programs we run in NYC to more than 7,000 entrepreneurs
