Cristina is a Managing Associate at Next Street. She is passionate about helping cities develop strategies to enable small businesses – especially those owned by women and people of color – to start, scale, and sustain operations. She has experience leading Next Street’s ecosystem work, having conducted assessments of the small business landscape in more than seven cities. She has also worked extensively with Community Development Financial Institutions, anchor institutions, and philanthropies looking to support small businesses throughout her 3+ years at the firm.
Prior to Next Street, Cristina worked at Deloitte Consulting, where she developed strategies for social sector clients, including My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a program of the Obama Foundation, the World Bank, and USAID. She graduated from the University of Virginia, with a dual degree in Global Development Studies and Spanish.
